The Ben Hill Middle School Jazz Band, under the direction of Jay DeDon, performed at the School Board Meeting on Tuesday, January 14th! These talented young musicians showcased their hard work and passion for jazz, leaving the audience inspired and impressed.

Our Mission
Our desire is to advance music education in Hillsborough County schools by creating opportunities and supporting music learning through the Master Musician Program, All-County weekend, Scholarships, and Instructional resources.
Purpose of the Hillsborough County Secondary Music Council
The purpose of the Hillsborough County Secondary Music Council is to provide support for secondary music curriculum activities in Hillsborough County. The Council also assists in fostering a spirit of community among secondary music educators and provides opportunities for students to enhance their music education experience.
The Secondary Music Council sponsors the Hillsborough County All-County Honor Music Festival, the Master Musician program, the Gebhardt Leadership Summer Camps, and the HCSMC Auxiliary and Guard Summer Camp.
